It tells the story of Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West, and her relationship with Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. The second of the two-part adaptation of the Broadway musical. It was first announced that Wicked would be split into two films in April 2022, with composer Stephen Schwartz explaining, “To be honest, we’ve been asking for a while to make it into one film, (which) required us to cut or cut things out, which we wanted to “include”. And we think that fans of the show and history will appreciate it.” He added: “It was very difficult for us to listen to “Defying Gravity” without a break. This song was specifically written to bring down the curtain, and any wall that followed without a break seemed extremely disappointing.” Included in AniMat’s Crazy Cartoons: Chip and Dale: The New Legacy (2022).
